Kevin Aycock believes homes should be tailored to your wants And needs, which is exactly what inspired his career. After working for a home builder right out of college, Aycock went on to found his own custom home-building bminess, Southern Luxury Homes, at Reynolds Lake Oconee. "People don't think building a home will be fun, but I change their mind," he says.

Now the thriving home expert says he plans on building homes as long as he can. Aycock's 22-year career has been made that much more special being able to share it with his wife, Jordan, who earned her own spot in our "Real Estate Award!s" feature. Together, they stay in the loop with market changes and trends for their clients by attending trade shows, chatting up architecs and designers, and reading industry publications.

Being a self-proclaimed "yes" builder, Aycock has developed a reputation as an esteemed homebuilder who brings his clients' dreams from rendering to real life. Alongside his wife and expert team, Aycock has built more than 400 custom homes. He says, "The appreciation from the customer is what motivates me. Each home I build becomes my latest success story."
